Title: Love

Series: Things That Matter #3
Author: Casey Diam
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: January 30, 2019

Paige

Caleb and I were done keeping secrets from each other. Everything needed to be
resolved before his trial; first and foremost, the depth of deceit we’d failed
to unravel. The stakes were higher. And as our past, present, and future
collided, we should be on the same page. But what if I knew something that
would destroy him, and us?

I would do anything for him. Anything for us.

Caleb

My father was a liar, a manipulator, a killer. He was—me. Only, the
longer I’d been away from him, the more those broken pieces of myself had been
gravitating back together. Because the mind was a powerful thing. And love—was
a weakness. A strength. A four-letter word for loyalty. Where was mine? Not in
the hands of the man who’d made me this way. So I didn’t have to wonder what
would be the worst thing that could ever happen to me. Instead I wondered,
could I stop it?

My eyes
followed Paige through the mirror as she walked over to the weight rack. I
didn’t want to include her in everything that went down for her safety, but it
was the only way to prevent her from taking off again, trying to do it on her
own.
She stopped
by the five-pound weights, wistfully dragging her fingers over them before
picking up one in each hand.
My eyebrows
arched. “What are you doing?”
“It’s been
a month. My arms are weak. I just need to”—she bit her lip as she curled first
one and then the other dumbbell—“work them out a little.”
I walked up
to her and plucked the weights from her hands before setting them back onto the
rack. “This isn’t starting slow. Two-pound weights are. Better yet, no weights
at all.” I touched her stomach. “You were a personal trainer. You know to use
your core even when you’re only doing curls. With the added weight, it’ll be
too much stress on your stomach.”
“I’ve been
doing some wall pushups and a few other exercises this week, you know that. But
they aren’t enough.”
“I know,
but I don’t want you to push too hard too fast. If you pull something, it’s
going to take you twice as long to recover.” I bent and retrieved my weights
from the floor and set them on the rack. “We have to go anyway. That was
Stuart. We’re meeting with him and Langley.” My arm dropped around her
shoulders as I guided her to the door.
“You know,
being my boyfriend doesn’t give you the right to tell me what to do.”
I chuckled.
“I still know what’s best for you. But if you really want to work out your
arms, I could think of a few ways. Massaging my back. Rubbing my—”
The door to
the gym opened, revealing a guard standing in the hallway, so I lowered my head
and whispered in her ear, “Cock.”
Over the
past few days, she’d started to do this thing where she casually cupped my dick
and balls, and it had been driving me fucking nuts. It didn’t help that I got
embarrassingly hard every time she touched me. Like I was getting this second.
“You suck,”
she murmured, and I peered down to see she was smiling.
“No. You
suck.” She didn’t need to see the desire in my eyes to know where my mind
was.
“Maybe I
will.” She looked up, and my eyes grew hazy with desire as we continued out the
door and down the hall.
This
pent-up need to fuck her was making me fear the moment I finally did. Hard,
possessive. Caveman-style, I was sure. I was also sure her body wasn’t ready
for that.
“What am I
going to do with that mouth?” I muttered under my breath, my cock throbbing.
“I have a
few ideas,” she said as a matter-of-factly.
I laughed.
“Tell me. Later. In detail.” My hand circled around the nape of her neck, and I
caressed. “I would love to hear them.”

Author: AJ Renee
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: January 30, 2019

Lucky in Love.

That’s the name
of the dating app I picked, hoping to find Mr. Better Than Average so I can
hold off planning my future as a cat lady.

I’ve been
distracted eyeballing a tall, dark, and handsome Latin hottie who works in the
library with me. He is way out of my league, and a woman has needs if you know
what I mean.

Finding a man
shouldn’t be hard when all I have to do is swipe left or right. It’ll weed out
the slimy men who have Bad Date written all over them.

Yeah, I’m
learning quickly that I’m rather unlucky in love after all. The men I pick need
warning labels, kissing lessons, and a good talking-to about manners.

Should I throw in
the towel or will this series of bad dates be exactly what I need to win Mr.
Right?

Pouring
milk into my mug, I watch the black and white colors swirl together until they
turn a pretty caramel. I didn’t sleep well, and the creamy mix is exactly what
the doctor ordered. Hurrying, I flick the sugar packet and dump its contents.
The door behind me opens as I toss the spoon into the sink and lift the mug to
my lips. The satisfying liquid warms my insides, and I can’t help my sigh even
if I tried.
“Rough
night?” a velvety voice asks.
I take
another sip of my glorious cup of joe before turning toward Mario. He started
working in the Reference Department three months ago and has featured in a few
of my dirty dreams. He’s gorgeous and about six feet three inches. Dark, tall,
and handsome would describe him to a T.
I shrug and
force my mind from the gutter. He brushes past me and grabs the spoon I just
discarded. The first time I saw him do this, I yelped in protest, but it seemed
he really was another gross college guy.
One with
full kissable lips.
“You’re
quiet this morning,” he says and leans against the counter next to me.
After the
episode with Tristan last night, I can’t help but stare a second longer. “No,
just a date.” The words spill from my mouth. “I mean, I was up late.”
Mario’s mug
freezes halfway to his lips, and an eyebrow raises as he stares at me.
“Fuck!” I
slap a hand over my mouth in horror. My heart races, and I know my cheeks are
bright pink. “I gotta go.” I squealed and run out of the break room.
Great job,
Izzy! Now he thinks you were up all night fucking.
Calling
myself a string of insults, I take the elevator down to the copy office. See,
we both work in our college library in different departments. I keep the copy
machines and printers stocked with paper and toner, and Mario does whatever the
students in Reference do.
We both
tend to be in the break room grabbing coffee in the mornings at the same time.
If I’m lucky, I get a glimpse of him when I do my rounds. Our conversations
aren’t long, usually revolving around our mutual love of coffee. His doesn’t
include milk, but his love of coffee runs as deep as mine.
I walk
around the corner and sigh with relief when I find the door closed. My boss,
Jerry, isn’t in yet, and I know he’ll tease me if he spots the blush still on
my cheeks. Jerry is old enough to be my dad and is the best boss I’ve had, not
that there have been many.
Kicking the
doorstop under the wooden door, I prop it open. I set my mug on the long
counter and take a quick peek at the staplers and empty the pencil sharpener
set out for students to pop in and use. My body goes into autopilot, and
Mario’s lips come to mind. I wonder if they are they as soft as they look?
I
reluctantly remind myself he’s out of my league. It’s not that I don’t think
I’m pretty. I am, but I’m not the girl all the boys come sniffing around.
They’ll look in my direction, but few take the next step. Of those who do, none
are as handsome as Mario.

Title: Build: A Bad Boy Snowed In Romance

Series: Burns Brothers #1
Author: Gillian Archer
Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 29, 2019

Blurb

Welcome to
Bad@ss Builds where the motorcycles are as sexy as the brothers building them.

Austin Burns:

I thought she
wasn’t real the first time I saw her. To be fair I was a hungover mess when I
woke up and looked into her gorgeous eyes. After getting the second worst news
of my life—that my father would be paroled soon—I’d escaped to my buddy’s posh
cabin near Lake Tahoe. Now the maid with the gorgeous eyes is snowed in with
me, and I wonder if she might be a better distraction than the mountain of
booze I’d planned on drinking. She’s curvy in all the right places, and the
snow is falling faster.

Rachel
Tannenbaum:

As a single mom, I
don’t have time for men, especially irresponsible tattooed bad boys like my ex.
But Austin is hot. And sexy. And stuck here in the cabin with me. I can’t say
no to a fling with this bad boy, especially since Austin is so gorgeous and
awkwardly sweet.

One night becomes
two, and I don’t know if I can risk my heart—and my little boy’s—if Austin
wants it to become more when we get through the snow and back to reality.

I’d just straightened
up the pile of mats when a scraping sound caught my attention. Raising the
blinds, I looked out the window and saw Rachel standing in the middle of the
road, shovel in hand, pushing the snow into big piles. She’d got about ten feet
of road cleared in addition to her car.
Did she
really think she could plow the fucking road between here and the highway? It
was miles of road!
“Son of a
bitch.” I ran out of the room. Three steps later, I almost tripped over Blue in
the hallway. He’d taken up a post between me and the doorway, almost like he
couldn’t decide who he should be guarding. “Hey, boy. You okay?”
Blue sat up
with a whine and swung his head toward the front door.
“Yeah, I
think we gotta talk some sense in her. She can’t plow the fucking road all by
herself. Come on.” I grabbed my coat next to the door and pulled it on over my
naked chest. My shirt was balled up somewhere in Cole’s home gym. I shoved my
bare feet into my boots next to the door and half-assedly laced them up. Blue
whined next to me, urging me to hurry. I ripped open the door, and Blue bounded
out, with me close on his heels.
“What the
hell are you doing, woman!” I shouted before I met up with Rachel.
She glanced
at me then bent down to pet Blue. “What does it look like?”
“It looks
like you’re fucking insane. You do know there’s like five miles of road between
us and the highway, right? Are you planning on plowing the whole fucking thing
by hand?”
“I have to
do something!” Rachel waved an agitated hand as she stood back up to face me.
“I can’t just sit here and wait for someone to call or show up. I have people
waiting on me—my family is counting on me.”
“You think
I don’t know that? You think the same fucking thing isn’t happening to me right
now? I was supposed to be at work today too. Our scariest fucking client is
expecting a bike delivery today, and
I’m not gonna be there to stand between him and my brother. That’s my job!
That’s what I’ve done my whole life, and today I’m not gonna be there. I won’t
be there to protect him.”
Rachel
stared back at me with wide eyes, and her mouth opened and closed like a fish.
I sighed as
some of my anger melted away at Rachel’s bewilderment.
I hadn’t
meant to reveal so much. My shit was my shit. No one else needed to know what
was really going on in my life—least of all a piece of ass I’d hooked up with
for a night. I just had so much anger pent up. Booze hadn’t helped. Exercise
hadn’t helped. Really the only thing that’d worked was when I had her naked and
under me, but that’d never happen again.
I needed to
get my shit under control.
“Look, I’m
sorry, okay?” I reached over and gently took the snow shovel out of her hands.
“We all have shit—that’s all I’m saying. Well, that, and there’s no way either
of us is going to be able to dig our way out of this mess. There’s too much
road between us and the highway. It’s dangerous. We’re better off waiting until
the plow comes. I don’t know where the hell Cole’s business manager is, but he
still hasn’t called me back. If you’d like, I can call around and see if I can
find another service.”
Rachel bit
her lip and looked down the long, snow-covered road, her brow wrinkled.
“I’ll even
pay.”
Rachel’s
eyes shot to mine. “It’s not the money that’s bothering me. Well, it is, ‘cause
I can’t afford it, but I’m worried about the weather. There’s supposed to be
another system moving in this afternoon. If we can’t get out of here by noon, I
doubt you’ll find another outfit willing to come out in the middle of another
storm. We could be trapped here overnight again.”
I nodded
slowly. “I’ll get on the horn and see if we can get you home to your little boy
sooner than later.”
“Thank
you.”

?SYNOPSIS?
An unexpected duty
For three hundred years, Princess Dria has avoided the drama of the royal court by training as a battle mage. When her father summons her back to court just as she begins to rise up the ranks, she’s furious. Even worse, she must work with her estranged brother Ralan on a mission to Earth. But as soon as Dria arrives at Moranaia’s new outpost, her brother drops the leadership of the entire place into her hands. Now she’s in charge of fortifying a new outpost on a planet she’s never even visited.

An abhorrent task

Prince Vek of the Unseelie has spent millennia as his father’s enforcer, working in the shadows to eliminate evil, but after sparing his nephew Fen from the king’s judgement, Vek must tread carefully. One false move, and he will lose the king’s trust—and Fen’s life. But when the king gives Vek a new, more sinister task, Fen becomes the least of his worries. The Moranaians have a new colony on Earth, and King Torek wants the energy source that’s contained within. Vek must retrieve that power—even if he has to kill the Moranaian leader to get it.

A threat unknown

From the moment she catches Vek sneaking into the cavern, Dria knows the truth—the dark and mysterious prince is her soulbonded. But she’s certain he’s up to no good, and although she’s drawn to him, there is no way she can trust him. His reputation, and that of the Unseelie in general, precedes him. Unfortunately, more than desire is awakening. As they dance around their budding attraction, Dria and Vek uncover a deathly illness lurking among the fae—and a sinister plot that will damage both their worlds.
