Not My Hero is a standalone book in the Black Mountain Academy series (which I have a few I need to finish up on) and are written by Multiple Authors. This one is by the amazing Michelle Heard and is told in dual POV. This book follows Brie and Colton.. AND OMG... this book is everything!! I have to say my heart just broke into a million little pieces for Brie and Colton both.. Brie is the daughter of the infamous Serena Weinstock from the Trinity Academy and Colton is the brother of Brady (Jades bf that died in Coldhearted Heir).. 

This book deals with alot of sensitive issues that may be triggers for some.. Michelle has a way of writing it, and she is not afraid to touch on these hard subjects. This book truly is heartbreakingly beautiful.. Its a story of abuse, bullying, but coming out the other end stronger and finding the true meaning of love and family..

Colton and Brie are amazing characters, both are strong in different ways.. The way Colton takes to Brie immediately.. he is protective, patient, and understanding as to why she is the way she is.. he knows something has happened in her life to make her this way.. and when he finds the full effects of it.. he is bound to help her and be her support system.. 

I loved this book and I cant wait to dig into more of this series..
